PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording sheet rapidly absorbing ink for ink jet recording, generating no blur of ink, capable of imparting an image of high water resistance and having high ink density and high gloss and inexpensive to manufacture. SOLUTION: In the ink jet recording sheet wherein an ink receiving layer is provided on a thermoplastic resin film, the ink receiving layer contains silica fine particles obtained by grinding silica manufactured by a gel method and having a mean particle size of 100-350 nm and a specific surface area (BET method) of 150 m2/g or more and a binder resin and a P/B ratio (a weight ratio of silica fine particles/binder resin) is 3-5. |
