摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To design a pH measurement position and a pH measurement instrument placed at the position, appropriate for stably measuring the pH value in such a state that neutralization reaction sufficiently proceeds, in a pH adjustment system for clinker hopper overflow water, which is used for injecting caustic soda, in a seal box, into overflow water overflowing a clinker hopper placed below the furnace bottom of a coal-fired boiler and adjusting water quality in an ash treatment circulating water system. SOLUTION: This system for injecting caustic soda, in a seal box, into overflow water overflowing a clinker hopper placed below the furnace bottom of a coal-fired boiler and adjusting water quality in an ash treatment circulating water system, is provided with a pH measurement vessel which is placed downstream from the seal box and through which the overflow water is discharged to a clinker hopper overflow vessel, and an agitation chamber placed in the pH measurement vessel; and a pH measurement instrument placed in the pH measurement vessel at a pH measurement position appropriate for measuring the pH of the overflow water agitated in the agitation chamber.
