METHOD OF SELECTING RAW MATERIAL USED IN PRODUCTION OF MOLTEN SLAG

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of selecting a raw material for producing molten slag not containing metal aluminum which inhibits application of the molten slag as an aggregate for concrete. SOLUTION: When molten slag 14 is produced by using at least one of city refuse, an industrial waste material and an incinerated residue of these materials as a raw material 1, the raw material 1 is crushed into fine particles 3 in a crush process 2, and then non-magnetic metal aluminum 9 is removed from the fine particles 3 with an eddy current-type metal sorter in the sorting process 4 so that the selected raw material 12 to be charged into a melting furnace 13 is constituted of only nonmetals.
