PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing raw material powder for an ethylbenzene dehydrogenation catalyst capable of having excellent catalyst activities and selectivity as well as excellent wear resistance and hardness. SOLUTION: The raw material powder for the ethylbenzene dehydrogenation catalyst is prepared by dry-mixing iron oxide powder and titanium oxide powder and then dry-grinding the resultant mixture so that the average particle size is preferably 0.5 μm or less.
