PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for inhibiting the vibration of an elevator capable of reducing the vertical vibration of an elevator car, in particular, the primary vibration, and comprising a device for preventing the lowering of the riding comfort. SOLUTION: This device comprises a pair of elastic members connecting at least one of the car and a balancing weight, and a cable or a chain member, and a damping member, a detector for detecting the vibration of the car or the balancing weight, provided with the elastic members and the damping member, and the cable or an end of the chain member, and a driving device for inhibiting the vibration of the car on the basis of the detected vibration. Thus, the vertical primary vibration of the elevator can be particularly reduced. |
