PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make possible to print on a paper up to the vicinity of the end part thereof. SOLUTION: The print controller comprises a section 6a for detecting the position of a paper driven through a paper feed motor 1 based on the output pulse from an encoder 13 rotating through the paper feed motor, and a section for driving and controlling the paper feed motor by adding a current value to the paper feed motor based on a target paper feed amount and an output from the position detecting section. Based on an output pulse from the encoder after the target paper feed amount is reached, a current value signal for stopping movement of the paper or moving the paper in reverse direction is generated and the driving and controlling section drives and controls the paper feed motor based on that current value signal.
