<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a forgery preventing laminate including a means for preventing forgery of a valuable document. SOLUTION: The laminate 10 comprises a base layer 12 and first and second outside layers 14 and 16 connected to the opposite sides of the base layer by an adhesive 18. The base layer contains a plurality of flow through holes 20 connecting the first and second outside layers directly to each other. The flow through holes cause a tear of the base layer between the adjacent holes when one of the outside layer is tried to peel off from the base layer and, as the result, the base layer is made unsuitable for reuse. A method of forming the laminate is also disclosed. In order to form the laminate, first the first outside layer is connected to a first side of the base layer. Then, the flow through holes in a plurality are bored in the base layer by using one laser drill or more. The second outside layer is connected to the base layer, on the opposite side to the first outside layer.</p> |
