PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply build and disassemble temporary scaffoldings for the mounting work and the maintenance work for discharge frames and moving dust collecting grids. SOLUTION: This moving electrode type electric dust collector is provided with a number of discharge frames 14 suspended at given intervals in a casing 12, a number of moving dust collecting grids 15 wound around every other discharge frames and a hopper 13 provided below the casing 12 and storing temporarily collected dust, and a grating 40 for scaffoldings is laid on the upper horizontal face of the hopper 13.
