PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker in which an inspecting and repairing work can be rapidly performed when a temperature fuse is burnt out. SOLUTION: When the stop of feeding of a commercial power supply is detected due to the absence of a zero-cross signal during a rice cooking and heating operation (step S1), detected temperature T after the lapse of a feed stop state for a prescribed time and just before the feed stop is controlled to be compared with prescribed temperature Tr (for instance, 150 deg.C) to decide that the fuse is burnt out (steps S3 and S4), and when a result that the fuse is burnt out is obtained, this result is displayed (step S5). These steps are carried out in accordance with the feed state from a back-up power supply. Thus, the repairing work upon generation of a trouble due to the burnt out fuse can be rapidly carried out.
