PURPOSE:To improve preservation of paste, and reduce the occurrence of failures caused by nonuniformity of application by decreasing a quantity of foams generated in a manufacturing process. CONSTITUTION:Paste formed by kneading a high polymer binding agent, fluorocarbon resin, water and metallic cadmium being a main active material together, is applied on the surface of a layer which contains cadmium oxide as a main active material and is laid on a current collecting body, and a cadmium negative electrode for an alkaline secondary battery is manufactured. In this manufacturing method, a nickel powder added material is used as the paste, and this paste is applied to the surface of a cadmium oxide contained layer. |
