PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device capable of obtaining a fine image by outputting a synchronizing signal at precise timing even when laser power made incident upon a photodiode for outputting the synchronizing signal is changed. CONSTITUTION:In the image forming device for driving the laser diode and writing an electrostatic latent image of each color on a photosensitive body 8 based upon digital picture data obtained by photoelectrically converting reflected light from an original by a CCD and A/D converting the photoelectrically converted signal by an A/D converter, a synchronism detecting means 10 for detecting a writing position in the main scanning direction of the photosensitive body 8 is constituted of two photodiodes 10a, 10b in parallel with a beam scanning direction. |
