PURPOSE: To execute the control of a time base direction of laser drive pulses with high accuracy with a recorder for executing recording at a higher recording rate from normal speed. CONSTITUTION: First delay sections (SR1...SRn) which are capable of variably controlling delay time in a relatively long unit and second delay sections (DB 1...DBn) which are capable of variably controlling the delay time in the short time unit are used in combinations, by which the control of the time base direction may be executed with the high accuracy in dealing respectively with the high-speed rates from the normal speed to an octuple speed, to a 12-times speed, etc., even if the delay gates of extremely many stages are not used.
