1,065,093. Automatic temperature control systems. HONEYWELL Inc. Sept. 24, 1963 [Sept.24, 1962], No 37566/63. Heading G3R. A space heating system has a cycling thermostat 12, 13 cycled by a heater 14, controlling an integrating relay 35, 40 activated according to the "on" time of the thermostat which relay through another relay 50, 52 energizes a feedback heater 15 to change the control point of the relay, when more heat is required. A damper 25 in a hot air conduit 24 is energized in parallel with the relay 35, 40. The arrangement may control the temperature of a plurality of zones by duplication of thermostats 113, 213 and integrating relays 113, 233 so that additional contacts 53, 54 simultaneously energize heaters 115, 215. A further contact 55 energizes the heating means. In another embodiment Fig. 2 (not shown) the heater (s) 15 &c. are controlled solely by the relay contacts 52-54. Another modification of Fig. 1 dispenses with the heater 15 and places a shuntable resistor in series with each heater 14 &c.
|
