PURPOSE: A testing device is provided to continuously and automatically test the toxicity of water for a regular period. CONSTITUTION: A continuous testing device consists of; a sample supplying unit continuously supplying water sample from the river, with a circulating pump(10), a sample collecting block(11) and a sample supplying pipe(12); a multi-well plates(17) mounted with a well filled with lyophilized luminous bacterium; a multi-well plate supplying unit sequentially supplying many multi-well plates with a rack(18), the rack driver and a plate transferring device; a reagent storing unit keeping reagents for the luminous bacterium; a solution spraying unit spraying the sample and the reagents on the multi-well plate, with a syringe, a piston driver and syringe moving devices(16); a sensing unit(22) sensing light from the bacterium with a PMT(photon multiplier tube); and a control unit controlling each unit, the multi-well plate and the transferring device. Herein, the testing device additionally contains a temperature control unit to regularly keep inner temperature.
