PURPOSE: A diaphragm of an air compressor is provided to reciprocate an air compressor with an electric current fed to a stator and to disperse the fatigue strength applied to a diaphragm of the air compressor by forming a recessed groove and a protrusion on the diaphragm made by natural rubber or synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION: A diaphragms(100) of an air compressor has a fitting hole in the center and a recessed portion(120) on a side as well as a corresponding protruded portion(110) on the other side. At least one protrusion(122) is formed along the central margin of the recessed portion while at least one recessed groove(112) is formed along the central margin of the protruded portion. The fitting hole of the diaphragm is inserted into a protruded connecting member(42a) of a magnet case(42). Then, a second support member(44) is connected by a specific connecting unit. Thereby, the air compressor is mounted on a body(10). Herein, the diaphragm is connected, with one of the protruded portions(110) having the recessed groove, opposed to the other protruded portion. A stator, the air compressor and a side cover are assembled into the body, and the structure is attached to an aquarium or a small purifier. When an electric current is fed to each coil of a first and a second stator, the air compressor generates air by reciprocating between the two stators. The center of the diaphragm is bent by continuous expansion and contraction, and the fatigue strength is raised. The diaphragm has the recessed groove along the central margin to absorb the fatigue strength. The fatigue strength is dispersed by the protrusion at the other central margin.
