ANALGESIC COMPOSITION CONTAINING DECURSINOL OR ITS DERIVATIVES

PURPOSE: Provided is a pharmaceutical composition having excellent analgesic effects without any side effect. In particular, the analgesic composition contains decursinol or its derivatives, as an active ingredient, with pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. CONSTITUTION: The analgesic composition comprises decursinol represented by formula (1) or its derivatives, and pharmaceutically acceptable carrier as an active ingredient, wherein the formula (1), R1 represents H, 3-methyl-2-butenoyl or 2-methyl-2-butenoyl, and R2 represents H or hydroxyl. The compound of the formula (1) comprises 7-hydroxy-8,8-dimethyl-7,8-dihydro-6H-pyrano(3,2-g)chromen-2-on of the formula (1a) known as decursinol, 3-methyl-2-butenoic 2,2-dimethyl-8-oxo-3,4-dihydro-2H,8H-pyrano(3,2-g) chromen-3-yl ester of the formula (1b) known as decursin, 6,7-dihydro-8,8-dimethyl-7,8- dihydro-6H-pyrano(3,2-g)chromen-2-on of the formula (1c), and 2-methyl-2-butenoic 2,2-dimethyl-8-oxo-3,4-dihydro-2H,8H-pyrano(3,2-g)chromen-3-yl ester of the formula (1d) known as decursinol angelate.
