PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a potentiometer in which a sliding contact piece can be positioned precisely with a resistance board and in which the number of components is reduced. SOLUTION: The potentiometer is provided with a case 1. The potentiometer is provided with the resistance board 2 which is fixed to the case 1. The potentiometer is provided with a rotor 5 which comprises the sliding contact piece 7 coming into sliding contact with the resistance board 2. The potentiometer is provided with a shaft part 5a which is installed at the rotor 5 and which is shaft-supported by the case 1 so as to be rotatable. The potentiometer is provided with a lever 3 which is arranged in the part on the side opposite to the holding side of the rotor 5 of the shaft part 5a. The potentiometer is provided with a coil spring 4 one end 4a of which is locked to the case 1 and the other end 4b of which is locked to the lever 3. In the resistance board 2, a bearing 2a into which the shaft part 5a of the rotor 5 is shaft-inserted so as to be freely rotatable is insert-molded.
