<p>The invention concerns a payment system, with a local network (3) whereon are connected at least two counters (5, 7) or a counter (5, 7) and a server (1). The invention is characterised in that the payment terminal (15, 17) is directly connected to the local network, and not to a counter. The invention enables to share payment terminals among different counters; it also enables management of a pool of payment terminals and updating software of payment terminals from the server. The modifications in the terminals can be remotely carried out, without intervening on the counters.</p> |
