PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise renting method and system therefor, by which merchandises are turned over at a high rate and an identity is surely confirmed, etc. SOLUTION: The system is provided with a reservation managing computer 14 to be communication possible with another computer 40 connected to a computer network 12. The computer 14 manages the existence and the return schedule of the prescribed merchandise 20 and merchandise stock information is read by date on the network 12 by adding the return schedule. When the prescribed merchandise 20 is reserved, a merchandise name, a merchandise delivery place, its return place, a merchandise delivery date and its return data, etc., are designated and reserved in the computer 14 from the computer at home via the network 12. The reservation managing computer 14 transmits data of merchandise exchange certificate 44 and also prints a label 46 to be adhered on the merchandise 20. The merchandise 20 with the label is delivered to a designated convenience store 50, etc. |
