PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for remotely controlling plural medical diagnostic systems 24-38. SOLUTION: This system is connected to an internal network 20 of a medical institution or facility 12. A data communication control system 40 acts for connecting the institution through an external network to a remote service provider. A service request and data are generated by the system or the control system. Next, the request is transmitted through the control system to the remote service provider 14 and a response to the request is received by the control system and distributed to the diagnostic systems. In this technology, the system provided with no individual communication function is remotely controlled through the external network, thus its infrastructure and cost are reduced and the linkage of needs in services of the institution can be facilitated.
