<p>An encoding method for multicarrier transmission by which the high quality thanks to suppression of the peak power and error correction is maintained and which can be preferably applied to any modulation system. The basic algorithm of the encoding method is one for amplitude/phase-modulating 2m value by means of N (N=kn where k is the length of a code) carriers, wherein the phase space is divided into 2m' (m⊃m') groups, the representative point of each group is assumed to be a 2m'-PSK signal point, pairs of 2m'-PSK signal points are selected under the condition that the sum Δζ (0≤Δζ<2π) of the phase differences between the 2m'-PSK signal points is π, and signal points in (m-m') bits in each group are selected.</p> |
