<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable phone that can enhance the fun in electronic mails. SOLUTION: The portable phone 1 selects any of 'Gothic font', 'Ming-style font' or 'brush written style font' for use, and transmits a font code denoting the fonts set in use together with a character code to a portable phone 2. The portable phone 2 allows an LCD 13 to display characters denoted by the character code received by the portable phone 1 according to the fonts denoted by the received font code. The user of the portable phone 1 sets e.g. the 'Ming-style font' in use to allow the LCD 13 of the portable phone 2 being a communication opposite party to display characters according to the 'Ming-style font'.</p> |
