PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accurately estimating concentration of dioxins for controlling the amount of dioxins generated. SOLUTION: In the method for estimating the concentration of dioxins in the exhaust gases of a combustion furnace, on the basis of the concentration of chlorophenols and concentration of hydrocarbons in the exhaust gases, the concentration of dioxins in the exhaust gases are estimated by expression DXN =a×Cpn+b×Hcm, (where, Cp is the concentration of chlorophenols; Hc is the concentration of hydrocarbons; (a) and (b) are correction coefficients (-); and (n) and (m) are multipliers).
