<p>The present invention relates generally to trays for computer disc drives, and more particularly to a tray for computer disc drives, which is capable of accommodating and stably driving a business card- or credit card-sized rectangular disc as well as two kinds of cicular discs of two different diameters. The present invention provides a tray for disc drives, comprising a large-scale depression (11) formed on the upper surface of the tray to accommodate a large-scale disc and a small scale depression (13) formed on the upper surface of the tray to accommodate a small-scale disc: the tray further comprising a medium diameter positioning depression (15) that is defined by its circumference situated between the large and small diameter positioning depressions (11) and (13) and that has a diameter corresponding to the length of the diagonal line of a business card-sized rectangular disc; wherein the depths of the small, medium and large diameter positioning depressions (11), (13) and (15) have a relation such that the depth of the small diameter positioning depression > the depth of the medium diameter positioning depression > the depth of the large diameter positioning depression.</p> |
