<p>A method and system are provided for facilitating communications between an Internet user and users of other networks. The system includes user interface tools (173) for facilitating communications between the plurality of users, and an Internet interface (150) for connecting the users with the Internet. The system further comprises at least one additional type of network interface for interfacing with an additional type of network. A conversion apparatus (168) is provided for assisting with this interfacing. Additionally, a monitoring means (164) is provided for monitoring user behaviors. The monitoring means is used to create a database (162) for storing user instructions (162a) and user history (162b). A rules processing means (166) accesses the database when prompted by the monitoring means and directs the system to take appropriate action. The method of using the system includes capabilities for receiving a message from one network and forwarding it to another based on created rules and using internal prompts based on the information in the database in order to direct information to users of any one of the connected networks.</p> |
