PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrolyte battery that is high in safety. SOLUTION: The polymer electrolyte battery comprises a laminate electrode which has laminated positive electrode having a positive electrode mixture layer on a current collector and a negative electrode having a negative electrode mixture layer on a current collector through a polymer electrolyte therebetween, or a laminate electrode group having laminated two or more of the above laminate electrodes, or a wound electrode having wound the above laminate electrode packed by an outer packaging. At least one of the electrode mixture of positive electrode or negative electrode mixture has photo-transmitting particles. And it is desirable that polymer electrolyte is formed in the electrode mixture. And it is desirable that the photo-transmitting particles are made of white or transparent material with a substance of either glass, plastic or titan oxide, and that the configurations are either of spherical, fiber chip or pellet shape, and further that they have average particle size of 0.3 to 2 times of the average particle size of the active material and that their content in the electrode mixture is 1.5 to 5 weight%. |
