PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ladder-type surface acoustic wave filter, that obtains a means for preventing ripples caused at a within a pass band of frequency side lower from the center frequency. SOLUTION: In the ladder-type surface acoustic wave filter configured by arranging a surface acoustic wave resonator in parallel, in series, in parallel, etc., on a piezoelectric substrate, crossing width of IDT electrodes of a surface acoustic wave resonator placed on a parallel arm is weighted elliptically.
