PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a liquid level inside a vessel from outside exactly and easily. SOLUTION: A liquid level meter 10 has an ultrasonic sensor 11 displacibly arranged inside a device and a silicone gel form 16 is arranged on the surface. When a worker presses the ultrasonic sensor 11 on the vessel, the ultrasonic sensor 11 is pushed in, a limit switch 20 operates and power is turned on. The ultrasonic sensor 11 sends and receives ultrasonic pulse between the sensor and the vessel and a circuit 12 judges the existence of the liquid level based on the received reflection wave. A second LED 14 turns on when the existence of the liquid level and an electronic sound is emitted by a means not indicated in the figure. The worker can easily and exactly know the liquid level in the vessel by moving up and down the ultrasonic level meter. The silicone gel form 16 can ensure acoustic coupling even with curvature and fine roughness on the vessel and measures with high reliability. |
