PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument capable of measuring the deviation distance between the fixed contact ball and movable contact ball of a member to be measured before and after welding even if a barrier wall member such as a stiffener is generated between the contact balls by welding or the like. SOLUTION: In the instrument 1 for measuring the deviation distance between the fixed contact ball and movable contact ball of the member to be measured, a frame 14 has a bent part 15 between a fixed contact ball receiver 4a and a movable contact ball receiver 4b. Since the fixed contact ball and the movable contact ball are fitted in the fixed contact ball receiver 4a and the movable contact ball receiver 4b when the member to be measured is measured, even if the barrier wall member is attached between them after welding, the bent part 15 corresponding thereto can straddle the barrier wall member and, therefore, measurement can be accurately performed before and after welding without receiving the effect of the barrier wall part.
