PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide contents switching notifying method and system which can reduce the losses of received data and a communication cost by notifying beforehand of a time to switch contents, a contents transmitter, a contents receiver and a storage medium where a contents switching notification program is stored. SOLUTION: A contents transmitting side device is provided with a term when contents of one or more rounds by the switching performance of contents transmission, generates contents switching advance notice information including at least a switching performance time and the current contents reception required time for switching contents transmission and notifies a user side terminal of the contents switching advance notice information together with contents. The user side terminal extracts the contents switching advance notice information from the received contents, decides whether or not to be able to completely receive the contents to be received from the contents switching performance time and the reception required time included in the contents switching advance notice information, continues the receiving when possible, and once disconnects the line and starts the receiving again after the switching performance time when impossible.
