A muffler includes an outer shell (13) defining a chamber (30) and first and second tubes (18, 20) positioned in the chamber (30). The first tube (18) has a flat side wall and the second tube (20) has a flat side wall positioned adjacent to the flat side wall of the first tube (18). Muffler (10) further includes a baffle plate (16) including a base (71) and an edge (73) defining a tube-receiving aperture (74) and the first and second tube (18, 20) are positioned in the tube-receiving aperture (74).
