PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability, when a desired recording image is retrieved by selecting thumbnails according to retrieval conditions given by a user, or displaying them as a list after giving display priority order in an image pickup unit. SOLUTION: The imaging device 1 is provided with an imaging part 11, a signal processing part 12, a control part 13, a recording and reproducing part 14, a thumbnail image generating means 122 and an image display part 15. The device 1 is also provided with a function 131 for generating control information in the case of photographing, a function 16 for adding control information to the thumbnail image, when the image is generated and a function 132 for selecting the thumbnail image to be displayed or giving priority by added control information in the case of photographing, when the thumbnail image is displayed. |
