PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the image forming device not generating defective fixing due to a temperature drop on the surface of the outer periphery of a heating roll when performing continuously the fixing processing of print media. SOLUTION: The image forming device is equipped with a heating roller 1, a heating means 2, a pressure roller 20, a contact temperature detecting means 30 installed so as to contact the portion of the end part of the heating roller where a print medium 70 or 80 does not contact the heating roller 1, a non-contact temperature detecting means 40 installed so as to approach but not to contact the portion of the central part of the heating roller where the print medium 70 of 80 surely contacts the heating roller 1, and a temperature control means 400 for switching a contact temperature control method using a contact detected value outputted from the contact temperature detecting means 30 and a non-contact temperature control method using a non-contact detected value outputted from the non-contact temperature detecting means 40 in accordance with the difference of the width size of the print medium 70 or 80. |
