<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless data communication system that can simplify operations with respect to the authentication procedures in the case of wireless communication between electronic devices and enhance the security and the operability in the case of applying this system to e.g. a vehicle or the like. SOLUTION: A car navigation system 1 is provided with a wireless communication unit 2 adopting the Bluetooth, an antenna 3, an image display section 4, and a card slot 6 for reading member card information and makes data communication with a contents stand 41 placed at the outside of the vehicle. The member card information read section reads an authentication use PIN code from a member card compatible with the service of the contents stand 41 and gives the PIN code to the wireless communication unit 2. The wireless communication unit 2 uses the PIN code to perform authentication processing with the contents stand 41. The car navigation system 1 displays an icon corresponding to the contents stand 41 on an image display section 4 after conducting the authentication processing and performs data communication with the contents stand 41 when this icon is clicked.</p> |
