PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical add/drop switch device for having flexibility for receiving/sending a signal and for realizing uniformity of a signal intensity loss. SOLUTION: The optical add/drop switch device is provided with plural input ports (86, 88, 90, 92) for receiving an optical signal, plural output ports (94, 96, 98, 100), first optical paths for optically coupling both, second optical paths prolonging to plural drop ports (102, 104) provided on one side while intersecting with the first optical paths, third optical paths prolonging to plural add ports (106, 108) provided on the other side while intersecting with the first optical paths and optical switching units provided on matrix positions that the second or the third optical paths intersect with the first optical paths. The optical switching units contain a thermally controlled diffractive index matching fluid. |
