PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera minimizing white spot defects appeared on recorded image, even though when imaging with long exposure time or with high sensitivity, and also reducing the occurrence of recorded image be coming unnatural at normal imaging. SOLUTION: This digital camera comprises an image pickup optical system 1 including a CCD 10, an ASIC 3 processing a correction of pixel defects of imaged data obtained by the CCD 10 and an IC card 4 for recording images imaged by the system 1. At normal photographing, the ASIC 3 conducts processing for correction of pixel defects numbering about 30 pixels, but at imaging with a long exposure time or with improved photographing sensitivity, the ASIC 3 conducts processing of the correction of pixel defects numbering about 512 pixels. |
