PURPOSE: To provide an image processor capable of accurately performing chroma-key synthesis of a multi-screen and a GUI screen, while efficiently using memory. CONSTITUTION: When a control part 10 (a means for discrimination, a means for definition) discriminates attributes of an object developed in a GUI plotting area on a display screen 16 and determines as a result that the attributes of the object have colors other than those to be managed, the control part defines a rectangular plotting area of the object as a chroma-key mask area. A synthesis means 18 operates chroma-key synthesis processing only to the area other than the chroma-key area defined by the control part 10.
