PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a music distribution system which conducts communications with input of another form other than character data. SOLUTION: A music distribution system 100 is provided with a music distribution system server 101 which has a music software storage device to store music software and music distribution system terminals 103 which communicate with the sever through a public communication line network 102. The terminals are provided with microphones 107 through which voice inputting is conducted and transmitting and receiving means which transmit and receive audio signals, and the name of a music to specify distribution-desired music software and music software information including the name of an artist are inputted by voice. The server is provided with a means which voice-recognizes voice signals to extract music software information, a means which retrieves music software stored in the music software storage device on the basis of the extracted music software information and selects desired music software and a means which transmits the selected music software.
