PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module suppressing the occurrence of noise when data is transmitted and suppressing the drop of transmission speed, and to provide a transmission system. SOLUTION: A transmission/reception separation circuit 12 outputs a transmission signal transmitted from a TP line to a light source driving circuit 13. The light source driving circuit 13 drives a light source 16 based on the transmission signal. Thus, an optical signal is transmitted from the light source 16 to an optical fiber. The optical signal transmitted from the light source 16 is transmitted to the optical module of a communication opposites side through the optical fiber. When the transmission signal from the communication opposite side is transmitted from the optical fiber, a light detection part 10 receives the optical signal, converts the received optical signal into an electric signal and outputs it to an amplification part 11 as a reception signal. The amplification part 11 amplifies the signal outputted from the light detection part 10 and outputs it to the transmission/reception separation circuit 12. The transmission/reception separation circuit 12 outputs the reception signal to a TP line connected to a connector 3. |
