PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode-ray having an open main lens and a plurality of beam guns. SOLUTION: An open main lens of a plurality of beam guns comprises an outlet of a focusing grid G5 as a sole opening for all electrons, and an inlet and an outlet of an anode grid G6 so as not to form an opening separated against each electron beam or an electron beam passing hole. Preferably both the outlet of the focusing grid G5 and the inlet of the anode grid should be a won-plane form which is in a curved form or waved form in one direction or other direction for more preferable focusing of an outer beam and centering of a center beam. The interval between the focusing grid G5 and the anode grid G6 is preferably uniform. As a result the length (in the direction of the electron moving) of each focusing grid G5 and the anode grid G6 is differed in the central electron beam area and in the outer electron beam area respectively.
