PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic vending machine with a charging means, capable of speedily returning change for shortage to a user when the charging means runs out of the change. SOLUTION: An automatic vending means 1 capable of performing sales operation is provided. The charging means 20 gives operation permission to the means 1 when money is supplied to a supplying port. When the means 1 performs the sales operation, the means 20 calculates desired change obtained by subtracting a charge for the sales operation from a supplied amount, judges whether it is possible to return the desired change, and returns the desired change when returning is possible. When the means 20 judges that it is impossible to return the desired change, a control means transmits a message that the means 20 runs out of the change and information on the transfer of money in the case of running out of the change to a terminal different from the means 20.
