The invention relates to a method of producing and adding inocculant mixtures for molten metal baths which comprises casting a melting sample and measuring and evaluating the solidification behavior of the melting sample. An additional inocculant is added and admixed to the base inocculant composition before the casting depending on the solidification behavior of the melting sample.
