<p>A system, method and computer program product that utilizes measurement for the authentication of users to enterprise resources. The authentication server (104) consist pre-defined polices including an OR policy, and AND policy, a CONTINGENT policy, a multi-user policy, a multi-location policy, a multi-template policy, a user dependent policy, a location restriction policy, and a computer/device specific policy. The execution of the policies involves the use of one or more templates, which are created and stored in the server each time a user enrolls (106) in a different device. Biometric devices utilize a scientific technique to identify a user based on compared measurements of unique personal characteristics. These may include, but are not limited to, measurements of finger and hand geometry, retina and facial images, weight, DNA data, breath, voice, typing stroke and signature. In one embodiment of the present invention, the system of the present invention is implemented as a roaming profile server in a certificate authority system. Another embodiment of the present invention includes a system and method of remotely accessing the present invention (112). The remote access of the present invention can be implemented with both RADIUS and web access.</p> |
