PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decode both a normal bar code label and a bar code label having an add-on code surely and discriminatingly and to transfer them to a host device even if both the labels are present together. SOLUTION: When decoded data are a member code, it is checked at S65 whether or not right and left data are present in a buffer and when they are present, it is checked at S66 whether or not the starting three digits of the member code are '977' or '978'. When they are '977' or '978', it is checked at S69 whether or not an add-on code is already decoded and saved and when the code is saved, the data of both the member code and add-on code are outputted to the host device at S70. |
