PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a good image by eliminating deviation in positioning between each color image due to unevenness in thickness of a transfer belt. SOLUTION: In the device, deviation in each color image based on unevenness in thickness of the transfer belt 40 is stored beforehand and a landing position of recording material is determined from time after a marker that is provided on the transfer belt 40 is detected by a home position sensor 60 after a leading tip of the recording material P is detected by a paper leading tip sensor 51 when the image is formed and compensated quantity for timing of exposure start is determined for each of Y, M, C and K according to the landing position and the size of the recording material. |
