PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the starting response of a hybrid vehicle using an induction motor as a motor for driving, thereby enable the idle stop function capable of preventing driver's sense of incongruity in a vehicle starting behavior. SOLUTION: A start preparing signal detecting means, to shortly detect the possibility of a vehicle start earlier than a start detecting means, recognizes the will that a driver will start the vehicle, thereby an exiting current is supplied to the induction motor and thereafter a torque current is supplied by the start detecting means detecting a driver's motion to start a vehicle.
