PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a servo motor controller for suppressing the vibration of the position of a servo motor without lowering the control response of the servo motor and a servo motor control method. SOLUTION: When the speed of the servo motor 102 is controlled on the basis of the detected result and the time differential or difference of the detected result of the position of the servo motor 102 by a position detector (encoder) 104, the resolution of the detected result of the encoder 104 is relatively lower than that of the time differential or the difference of the detected result. Thereby since the influence of the position in the control of the servo motor is relatively lowered and the stable area of the speed is increased, a speed loop and the loop gain of a position loop can be heightened, and the cushion or the like of the speed loop and the position loop can be suppressed. |
