<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent decrease in the output of second harmonic with time in a device equipped with a semiconductor laser to oscillate the fundamental wave, a substrate for conversion equipped with an optical waveguide to convert the fundamental wave to the second harmonic, and a means to control the temperature of the optical waveguide. SOLUTION: The second harmonic generation device 11A is equipped with a heat sink 6, a mounting supported on the heat sink 6, the semiconductor laser 1 which is supported by the mount and which oscillates the fundamental wave, the substrate 2 for conversion supported by the mounting and equipped with the optical waveguide for converting the fundamental wave into the second harmonic, and the temperature control means 8 for controlling the temperature of the optical wave guide. The mounting is equipped with heat conduction parts 4 and 5, and a heat insulation part 3A. The semiconductor laser 1 is supported on the heat sink 6 via the heat conduction parts 4 and 5. At least the heat insulation part 3A is interposed between the substrate 2 for conversion and the heat sink 6.</p> |
