<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an order receipt prediction system which can precisely predict the order receipt of an article having demand variation with the seasons including even a new article having no past actual order receipt result. SOLUTION: This system is equipped with on order receipt database 1 which stores the past order receipt results of respective articles, an article master 2 in which the articles are registered while classified into article groups having similar demand variation trends, a season index calculating means 3 which calculates season indexes by periods based upon the past order receipt results, and an order receipt predictive calculation means 4 which predicts the order receipt quantity of an object article in the next term of the current year from the order receipt result of the current year and the season index of the article group that the article belongs to. Then the season indexes calculated by the article groups are reflected on the order receipt result of the object article in the immediately preceding term of the current year to predict even a new article while taking into account the demand variation trend of the article group that the new article belongs to.</p> |
