PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compensation circuit for a liquid crystal display for eliminating flickers occurring on a liquid crystal display panel. SOLUTION: The compensation circuit for the liquid crystal display is a data signal driving circuit 14 comprised of plural units such as a storage device 11 for holding a set of plural digital signals, a buffer 12 for temporarily storing the set of digital signals from this storage device, and a D-A converter 13 for converting the set of digital signals from the buffer into a set of analog signals, and each of the plural units has a sample/hold circuit unit 141 and an output unit 142, each of the sample/hold circuit unit receives either the analog signal from the DA converter or the ground potential and outputs it, and each of the plural output circuit units sums the output signal of the corresponding sample/hold circuit unit and one of external signals and then outputs the sum to a corresponding pixel.
